These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of MacJanitor, a macOS disk-cleanup utility ("the Software") published by Magpie Studios LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"). By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using MacJanitor, you ("you," "the Licensee") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase, download, install, or use MacJanitor.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and your payment of the applicable license fee, we grant you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use MacJanitor for your own personal or internal business purposes, on any Mac that you personally own or control.
A single MacJanitor license entitles you to:
Major version upgrades (e.g., from 1.x to 2.0) may be offered at a separate purchase price. Existing licensees will be notified of any major-version upgrade pricing at the time of release; you are never required to upgrade.

MacJanitor is a tool that deletes files. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
You are strongly advised to maintain a current backup of your Mac (for example, via Time Machine or another backup solution) before running any cleanup operation.
MacJanitor uses AI-assisted analysis to identify files that are typically safe to remove, and presents every proposed deletion for your review before executing it. Nonetheless, the decision to proceed with any cleanup is ultimately yours. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Magpie Studios LLC accepts no liability for data lost as a result of your use of MacJanitor, including data deleted on your instruction, data deleted as a consequence of bugs or unexpected behavior in the Software, or data lost due to interaction with other software installed on your Mac.
MACJANITOR IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all future macOS versions or with all third-party software installed on your Mac.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MAGPIE STUDIOS LLC, ITS MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, MACJANITOR.
Our aggregate liability to you under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the MacJanitor license in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Consumers in certain jurisdictions (including the European Union and the United Kingdom) retain statutory rights that are not affected by this section.
See our Refund Policy for the terms under which refunds are offered.
We may update MacJanitor from time to time. Some updates may modify or remove features, change system requirements, or address security or compatibility issues. We may also update these Terms; the "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on magpiestudios.app. Continued use of MacJanitor after a Terms update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
This license is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any provision of these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of MacJanitor and destroy all copies of the Software in your possession. Sections 3, 4, 5, 9, and 11 survive termination.
MacJanitor, its source code, design, branding, and all related intellectual property are and remain the exclusive property of Magpie Studios LLC. This license grants you the right to use the Software; it does not transfer any ownership rights.
